Cookie Policy
This page explains the cookies and browser storage used by AJOURA. At launch, the public website does not use optional advertising or analytics cookies that require a consent banner.
Current cookie use
- ajoura_admin: an essential, HTTP-only admin session cookie. It is used only for dashboard authentication, uses SameSite=Strict, is Secure in production, and lasts up to 7 days.
Current local and session storage use
- ajoura_languages: stores selected language preferences on the user’s device.
- theme: stored by the theme system to remember light or dark mode on the user’s device.
- lf_[article_id]: session storage marker used to avoid sending the same article-view signal repeatedly in one browser session.
Strictly necessary technologies
The admin session cookie is strictly necessary for secure dashboard access. Security rate limiting and server logs are also used to keep the service reliable and safe.
Optional cookies
AJOURA currently does not set optional analytics, marketing, or third-party tracking cookies on the public website. If these are added later, users in the EU/EEA should be asked for consent before those tools are used.
Ad and content signals
The site may send basic event requests when an article is viewed or an ad is shown or clicked. These requests are used for rate-limited, aggregated performance measurement and do not require a public user account.
How to control storage
- You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings.
- You can block cookies in your browser, but the admin dashboard will not work without its session cookie.
- You can clear local storage to reset language and theme preferences.
Future changes
If AJOURA adds analytics, marketing pixels, embedded media, or other optional tracking, this policy and the site consent flow should be updated before launch of those features.
